Course program
The course delves into the phenomenon of creating entrepreneurial initiatives, particularly innovative start-ups, investigating the process of birth and development of new businesses through an analysis of both subjective/personal aspects related to the concept of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur, as well as objective/external aspects related to legal, evaluation, and civil matters that an aspiring entrepreneur must consider when starting a new business. Understanding these aspects is crucial for a complete knowledge of the entrepreneurial phenomenon. The course aims to encourage students to focus on their potential entrepreneurial vocation on a personal level, by studying the business creation process and enhancing it through business planning techniques. Through a project-based learning approach, the course explores innovative methods for developing entrepreneurial initiatives based on principles of experimentation and learning.
For this reason, a "Pitch Battle Competition" is organized among students, which will be part of the final evaluation within Invitalia's Entrepreneurship Lab.
While maintaining a unified structure, the course is organized into teaching modules and includes a combination of lectures, group work, scientific paper readings, guest testimonies, project work, and student presentations. The course is enriched with testimonies, collaborations, and partnerships from the regional and national innovation ecosystem.
The teaching modules are as follows:
1. "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneur," which provides the theoretical context for the entrepreneurial process.
2. "From Theory to Practice," which introduces students to the concrete actions necessary for developing a business idea.
3. "Startups and Ecosystem," which describes the ecosystem in which the new business is situated and the public and private actors willing to support the enterprise.
4. "Legal, Financial, and Civil Aspects," which describes the legal, evaluation, and civil matters an aspiring startupper must consider.
The course has a theoretical-practical focus.
