Teacher's handouts
Teaching mode
Theoretical lessons, exercises and applications, software application, work in group, seminars.
Frequency
Attendance in this course is highly recommended, both for a good and complete comprehension of the theoretical subjects, and for developing practical abilities towards problem formulation and solving through the application of the specific software.
Attendance and active participation to lessons, applications, and practical classes in laboratory enhances students’ abilities of critical reasoning and learning. Group work develops critical discussion capacities, brainstorming skills, and inclination to problem solution in a context where many actors with different viewpoints participate to the decision.
Exam mode
FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE LESSONS:
The final evaluation is based on a series of tests:
1) assignments during the course (individual);
2) final test on the formulation of the decision models and their solution through the use of the specific software.
FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT FOLLOW THE COURSE'S LESSONS:
The final evaluation is an interview on both the theoretical subjects of the course and the aplications.
To pass the exam, the student must reach a score equal to 18/30.
The student must demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of the theoretical subjects of the course, as well as the acquired ability in the analysis, formulation and resolution of the practical decision problems through the application of the specific software presented in the course.
