THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING
Course objectives
I Learn and understand the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug toxicity mechanisms. On the basis of the knowledge acquired on pharmacokinetics and on pharmacodynamics the students are expected to make an evaluation of the proper drug treatment and a rational choice of route and timing of administration. Be aware of the factors influencing the pharmacological effects, adverse reactions and interactions between drugs, as well as the ethical and socio-economic implications inherent in the prescription of drugs. II To know the pharmacodynamic effects of the various classes of drugs in relation to the mechanism of action, to the fate in the organism and to the adverse effects. Knowing how to make a reasoned choice of drugs in relation to different pathological situations. Be aware of the possible influence of individual factors and concomitant pathologies on the pharmacological and / or therapeutic effect sought, as well as the risk-benefit ratio of drug therapy. To be aware of the possible influence of individual factors and concomitant pathologies on the pharmacological and/or therapeutic effect sought, as well as the risk-benefit relationship of the drug therapy.
