Course objectives

Basic Medical-Scientific Methodology (I) By the end of the course the student should: - be aware of the variability inherent in biological, clinical and instrumental data; - know how to organize data collection and set up a range of statistical techniques suitable for highlighting the influence of individual factors on the observed variability. - be aware of the epistemological peculiarities of medicine and be oriented in their perception of the ethical and social dimensions of medical research and practice. - know the language and way of thinking of economists. - know the peculiarity of economic inquiry applied to health care.
