Among the learning objectives of the Psychiatry course: - knowledge on psychiatric nosology and epidemiology, on the biopsychosocial model of mental diseases, on the integration of psychiatry in the context of medical sciences; - knowledge on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, aetiology and pathophysiology in relation to the major psychiatric diseases, including mood, psychotic, anxiety, substance use, eating, and personality disorders; - knowledge on key topics for clinical psychiatry including psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, differential diagnosis, mandatory hospitalizations, psychosomatic medicine, suicide risk.
