In addition to meeting the academic requirements listed in the previous section, the personal preparation of all applicants is assessed for the purpose of admission to the program. This assessment is conducted through a written exam.

The exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions on essential foundational topics in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Histology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Immunology, Applied Calculus, and Biomedical Statistics, as well as the reading and comprehension of a short scientific text (level B2).

To pass the exam, candidates must score at least 24 points. The score is calculated as follows: 1 point for a correct answer; 0 points for a blank answer; -0.25 points for an incorrect answer.
Candidates who do not pass the October exam may retake the personal preparation assessment in November, provided they register for the exam by emailing clsbiotecnologie@uniroma1.it by October 31.
