Here is the academic English version of the detailed programme structures for the three curricula offered within the LM-90 Master's Degree in European Studies for the academic years 2025/2026 and 2026/2027:
Curriculum: EU’s Law and Economics
Year 1 – Semester 1
The first semester of Year 1 includes three compulsory courses (9 ECTS each), providing foundational interdisciplinary knowledge in economics and public law:
- Economics of European Integration
- European and Italian Public Law
- Environmental Law and Economics
Year 1 – Semester 2
In the second semester, students take two compulsory courses (9 ECTS each):
- Business Law
- European Union Law and Internal Market
In addition, students must choose one of the two alternative compulsory history-oriented courses (9 ECTS):
- History of International Relations and European Institutions
- Economic History
Year 2 – Semester 1
In the first semester of Year 2, students complete:
- Law and Economics I (9 ECTS)
- European Economic Policy (9 ECTS)
- First Elective Course (free choice, 6 ECTS)
Year 2 – Semester 2
In the final semester, students complete:
- Law and Economics II (9 ECTS)
- Second Elective Course (free choice, 6 ECTS)
- Other Educational Activities (AAF) (3 ECTS)
- Master’s Thesis (18 ECTS)
Optional Courses – “EU Law and Economics” Focus Area
In addition to the above, students are required to select one 6-ECTS optional course from the thematic group below, offered in the first semester of Year 1 or the second semester of Year 2.

Year 1 – Semester 1

- Artificial Intelligence, Privacy and Private Law
- Comparative and European Public Law
- History of European Law
Year 1 – Semester 2
- European Union Law and Internal Market (9 ECTS)
- International Law (9 ECTS)
Students must also choose one of the two alternative compulsory history-oriented courses (9 ECTS): - History of International Relations and European Institutions

Year 2 – Semester 1
Three compulsory 9-ECTS courses:

Year 2 – Semester 2
Students must complete:
- One 6-ECTS elective course from the Optional Group Public Law Area
- One free elective course (12 ECTS)
