Course program
Membrane separation processes: separation mechanisms, types of membranes, practical applications, membrane reactors (plant engineering aspects), sizing. Direct flame equipment: heat transfer mechanisms, types of furnaces, practical applications (reformers, process furnaces, rotary kilns and their sizing and simulation), sizing of burners, elements of combustion fluid dynamics. Drying: selection and sizing of specific equipment. Reactor engineering: practical examples and selection of the correct reaction equipment, plant engineering aspects.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of process units Basic knowledge of transport phenomena and thermodynamic methods Basic knowledge of the process simulator
