Course objectives

The course aims to provide all the notions, knowledge and skills related to physical security and logical security necessary to operate in the security sector. The specific objectives consist in the definition, planning and management of strategic infrastructures (digital networks, commodities) and in the development of systemic analysis tools Keywords: physical security, logical security, anti-intrusion, access control, video surveillance, integrated systems, cryptography, wireless network security

Prerequisites
Knowledge of mathematical analysis, physics, chemistry and electrical engineering (or equivalent) acquired in previous courses.

Frequency
The course foreseen blocks of 2 hours of lesson; the total is 60 hours of lesson (corresponding to 6 CFU)
Exam mode
exam consists of three written tests and an appropriate interval of rest between the various tests is foreseen. The first test, lasting 45 minutes, includes an extended open-ended question. The second test, which lasts 45 minutes, includes 10 open-ended questions (the space available for each answer is limited and indicated in the examination sheets themselves that will be delivered at the beginning of the test). The third test, which lasts 45 minutes, includes exercises related to the kind of those downloadable from the course page available on the lecturer's website. Any oral exam is at the discretion of the teacher or at the request of the student. If the number of students is not high, the two tests take place on the same day. Two intermediate tests are planned during the course of the lessons. The intermediate tests take place according to the classroom exam methods and concern the relevant parts of the course (first part / intermediate test: physical security, second part / intermediate test: logical security and human factor).
Lesson mode
The lessons will take place in the classroom through the presentation of slides or the use of other educational material (videos, etc.), by the teacher, providing for continuous moments of interaction and comparison with the students, in order to stimulate learning , analysis, deepening and application of the contents provided in the course. Exercises are foreseen in order to favor the acquisition of the ability to analyze and calculate real situations.
