Course objectives

At the end of the Master programme, students will have to pass a test to assess the acquisition of additional competences for their future professional career. The full acquisition of such competences is typically expected to be associated to the completion of the final thesis project. Specifically, upon passing the exam, students will have acquired the following soft skills. Making judgement: 1. Ability to collect, analyze and process data in view of correct interpretation 2. Ability to collect suitable technical and scientific documents to develop and solve engineering issues 3. Ability to use appropriate methods to deal with environmental engineering issues at their knowledge and understanding level Communication skills 1. Ability to communicate clearly and explain scientific topics and conclusions to both a specialized and non-specialized audience 2. Ability to relate with a range of subjects (specialized and non-specialized) involved in environmental protection, sustainable use of resources, environmental management and planning, soil protection and sustainable development 3. Ability of both individual and team working and interaction with different professionals 4. Ability to coordinate a group Learning skills 1. Ability to continuously undertake further study with the required degree of autonomy and detail concerning both professional abilities and emerging environmental issues 2. Command of specialized competences and critical in-depth investigation
