Nanotechnology Engineering

Lectures will be focused on foundations of surface science and engineering, physical and chemical surface degradation and the main techniques of coating deposition and surface modification. The goals will be: - Understanding of microstructure-properties relationship; - Selection of materials on the basis of design constrains and requirements; - Understanding of advantages and drawbacks of the different deposition techniques and role of main process parameters - Analysis of degradation problems and selection of suitable surface modification techniques .
