Moreover, it will make the student able to apply the acquired knowledge in an expert and reflective way, making autonomous judgments, communicating ideas, problems and reflections in a clear and correct way, and developing the knowledge required to go further in the studies Acquiring a basic knowledge of the main aspects of Byzantine civilization and the phases of the history and literature of Byzantium. Basic information on modern methods of historical, philological and literary-critical research, through direct reading and commenting on the works of Byzantine authors, on the main phenomena relevant to phonetics, morphology, syntax and lexical peculiarities of medieval Greek.
