Functions Graduates are able to apply, in accordance with current legislation, the needs of society and the demands of the labour market, the knowledge and skills acquired in the linguistic, literary and philological fields, as well as the ability to use the main IT and digital communication tools in use in this field, in the following sectors: extracurricular language education, cultural services and documentary research, publishing and cultural institutions, businesses and commercial activities, diplomatic and consular representations, tourism and cultural mediation, and support for operators in multi-ethnic and multicultural contexts.
Skills Graduates acquire the following knowledge and skills to be used profitably in various professional fields (extracurricular language education, cultural services and documentary research, publishing and cultural institutions, commercial entrepreneurship, diplomatic and consular representations, tourism and cultural mediation) thanks to the knowledge and skills acquired in the languages of study (written and oral), in the theory and practice of translation, including sector-specific languages, in the relevant literatures and philologies, in general linguistics and the history of the Italian language and culture, in modern and contemporary history and in geography.
Career opportunities The primary employment opportunities are linked to the activities of import-export or multinational companies, tourism companies, embassies, cultural institutes and libraries. In particular:
