Course objectives

At the end of the course the student will have to know the grammatical, lexical and communicative basics of the Spanish language in relation to the linguistic abilities especially on the knowledge of the main phonetic, grammatical and lexical aspects of the language, and on the gradual approach to reading and comprehension of written texts (literary or not) - B2 level of the QERL; deepen aspects of contrastive grammar by reflecting on the difficulties that Italian-speaking people usually encounter in reading, and in understanding and translating Spanish written texts.

Course program
The module aims to introduce students to the study of the use of colloquial language and the lexiconical, technological and computer tools useful for learning the Spanish language. Course Moodle website: https://elearning.uniroma1.it/course/view.php?id=19719 The course is supplemented by hours of exercises and laboratory by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA).
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the Spanish language.

Teaching mode
The course includes lectures and blended-learning activities.
Frequency
Students attending at least 70% of the classes and carrying out the activities in the Moodle platform of the course are considered attending.
Exam mode
Intermediate tests (e-learning platform); written exoneration, individual and group work (oral). Written and oral exam on the bibliography texts and on the level of knowledge of the language (written practice part and oral theoretical). The assessment will consist of a written test and an oral test by the teacher. All students have the right to take the exam of the teacher, as stated in article 40 on the exams of the University Regulations. Consequently, there is no type of exclusion or non-admission based on other on-going tests, exemptions or unsuccessful not passed.
