SPANISH LANGUAGE

Course objectives

The course provides students with the tools to acquire a knowledge of the language at B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in the four language skills: comprehension of written and oral texts and written and oral production; it develops the ability to autonomously consult the bibliography of the sectoral area; it provides the skills required to develop critical and analytical skills with regard to materials in Spanish related to tourism professions. The student will have to know and consult a qualified bibliography in Spanish on the various areas of tourism relevant to their training, developing the corresponding ability to apply it both cognitively and professionally and to produce in the language of the texts in the discursive modalities of the sector and in marketing and promotion activities. Learning will result in the development of skills for the preparation of judgments based on the information of the foreign language learned and the application in the sectoral contexts. The student will be able to connect the different topics studied and study in-depth the study for the purposes of research and further professional training.

Course program
The course is designed to study the development of tourism and new technologies of communication, advertising, marketing and administration in Spain. Course Moodle website: https://elearning.uniroma1.it/course/view.php?id=16686 The course is supplemented by hours of exercises and laboratory by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA).
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the Spanish language (B1).

Teaching mode
The course includes lectures and blended-learning activities.
Frequency
Students attending at least 70% of the classes and carrying out the activities in the Moodle platform of the course are considered attending.
Exam mode
Intermediate tests (e-learning platform); written exoneration, individual and group work (oral). Written and oral exam on the bibliography texts and on the level of knowledge of the language (written practice part and oral theoretical). The assessment will consist of a written test and an oral test by the teacher. All students have the right to take the exam of the teacher, as stated in article 40 on the exams of the University Regulations. Consequently, there is no type of exclusion or non-admission based on other on-going tests, exemptions or unsuccessful not passed.
