Course program
Windows on the world. A literary image between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries
The course will analyze the fundamental image of the window in literature, in its functions of threshold and frame of representation, through a chronological path that begins with realism, in which the window becomes a form of access to knowledge, and ends with Nouveau Roman, where the image is more strongly linked to voyeurism.
The course will be conducted entirely in French.
