Objectives
The study program of the LM 65 in Fashion Theory and Practices is structured in such a way as to provide students with a common foundational education in the humanities, focusing on the theoretical foundations of fashion studies and design, through mandatory courses to be taken during the first year. The educational path then unfolds through thematic groups of subjects (communication; entertainment; psychology; economics and sustainability; cultural studies and history; design). Within each disciplinary package, students can select subjects of greater interest. The AAF (Academic Activities) are then structured into research and development laboratories.
The flexible and dynamic structure allows for the customization of the educational path, strengthening specific competencies of the students.
The decision to introduce a blended teaching method will allow the development of parallel curricula through which students can deepen specific specialized areas.
At the end of the program, graduates of the master's degree must:
- possess specialized scientific, theoretical, and technical skills, methodological and operational competencies related to fashion in the historical-cultural field, management and communication, sustainability and innovation, and be able to critically apply them, also from a gender perspective, in the design and creation of goods and services;
- have advanced skills in the areas of design, production of goods and services in the fashion sectors, as well as in the management of business structures and private and public institutions related to them, including fashion-related areas relevant to theatrical, cinematic, television, and media structures in general;
- be able to use the most advanced tools of digital communication currently available, in such a way as to make fashion products more visible and accessible in the global market.
For the definition of the percentage of time reserved for individual study, please refer to the Educational Regulations.
