PROGRAM OF ODONTOSTOMATOLOGICAL DISEASES - The stomatognatic apparatus: nosological classification and evolution of functional interpretation - Occlusion, malocclusion, malformations: definition and basic concepts - Posture and occlusion about relations based on current knowledge - Teeth and stomatognathic tissues (caries, parodontopathies, precancerous lesions, cysts and acute and chronic inflammation of oral tissues): basic physiology, pathology and prevention and their relationship with the problems of medical-surgical interest - Basic references on the classification of the Temporo-Mandibular Articulation Pathologies, the principles of diagnosis and treatment and the relationships with other pathologies of medical interest - Oro-facial pain definition, physiology, clinical features differential diagnosis and relationships with medical-surgical conditions - Respiratory sleep disorders: snoring and obstructive apneas during sleep - Dental imaging of medical interest
Prerequisites
In order to understand the contents of the Odontostomatological Diseases module it is necessary that the student has acquired the basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, of medical haptics, of radiology as well as having learned the concepts of neurology.

Exam mode
Each call includes a specific written part of odontostomatological diseases and an oral part of the other subjects of the course. The student can maintain the mark of the written test for a subsequent appeal. The written and oral tests are separated as a timeline but form an integral part of the profit evaluation.
