Course program
The course explores the evolution of medical imaging toward translational and precision medicine, introducing the principles of quantitative imaging, radiomics, and artificial intelligence. It covers the technical aspects of the DICOM format and radiomic analysis, as well as image-guided therapy and theranostic strategies. The program further examines the role of multiparametric cardiac imaging and emerging technologies such as Spectral CT and Photon Counting. It concludes with a discussion on the impact of the AI Act and the ethical and regulatory implications of artificial intelligence in diagnostic imaging.
