Prerequisites
In order to understand the contents of the teaching and achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities foreseen by the teaching module the student must possess knowledge of the basic physics of the subject, chemistry, anatomy and physiology and principles of general pathology.
To this end, the following preparatory requirements are required: having passed the basic two-year exams.
Frequency
Pursuant to the Educational Regulations of the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, the student is required to attend the educational and professional training activities of the Course. Attendance of frontal lessons of a number of hours equal to or greater than 67% of the hours assigned to the individual modules is required, in compliance with the relevant European legislation. Attendance is verified by teachers via signature/roll-call sheets on updated lists provided by the Teaching Secretariat as established by the CdS, upon indication of the Dean's Office. The certificate of attendance at the compulsory teaching activities of a teaching course is necessary for the student to take the relevant exam.
Exam mode
To pass the exam you must achieve a grade of no less than 18/30 in each diagnostic and nuclear medicine module.
The test is divided into a written diagnostic test and an oral test which covers the entire Diagnostics programme.
The student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of the topics of both Radiology and a basic knowledge of the topics of radio-protection related to the various radiological imaging equipment and that he is able to explain to a potential patient both the contents of a report that the use of diagnostics and its limits in the diagnostic-therapeutic path.
To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to connect them in a logical and coherent way during the oral interview with the commission.
The contents presented, the precision, the exposition, the ability to summarize and the clarity of presentation contribute to determining the final grade.
Lesson mode
The teacher provides face-to-face or distance learning, with audiovisual aids and with lesson scheduling as reported in the GOMP Classroom/Timetable System and published on the CdS website.
