Prerequisites
In order to understand the teaching content and to achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the didactic activities foreseen by the didactic module the student must possess the knowledge on periodontal anatomy, histology and microbiology; etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal diseases; main techniques of prosthetic preparation; dental materials; clinical and radiographic parameters of greater diagnostic interest.

Frequency
Attendance of at least 67 percent in face-to-face classes is required for passing the course.
Exam mode
To pass the exam you must obtain a grade of not less than 18/30 in each module. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of all the topics covered during the course. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to link them in a logical and consistent way. The collegiate exam includes an oral exam for each module that insists in teaching. The final judgment of the course is based on the overall evaluation expressed by the teachers also in reference to the mastery of the topics and the ability to show the evaluated students.
Lesson mode
The teacher delivers lectures with traditional methods with audiovisual aids and scheduling of lessons as reported on GOMP Aule/Orari system, published on the website of the Dental School.
