Prerequisites
There are no requirements to access and complete this module. Nevertheless, it is desirable a basic knowledge of human sciences (e.g., anthropology, sociology, linguistics, etc.) , and whenever possible, an understanding of the scientific method and consequently of experimentation, as well as, the capacity to critically analyze and interprete empirical data.

Therefore, it constitutes a transparent and unequivocal guideline about the pedagogic path that is followed, and consequently, of all arguments that will be summatively assessed.

Exam mode
Written examination (90 minutes): 18 Multiple-choice questions (1 point each question) 4 Open-ended questions (a maximum of 250 words each) on the topics discussed along with the module (4 points for each question). Multiple choice questions will evaluate competence in the foundational knowledge and concepts that pertain to each of the topics being discussed in the class. The open-ended question instead will serve to evaluate the critical analysis, and so, judgement and interpretation, together with aspects of communication and logical argumentation, synthesis, and in general, a competent use of the technical language, which is specific to the discipline.

Lesson mode
The module will constitute 48 hours of frontal lectures. We will make use of slides, audio-visual material, and formative activities during the lectures. We will also make use of scientific articles to deepen some topics, and also practical demonstrations of the experimental paradigms used in psychology to investigate the cognitive processes of interest. The detailed programme of the arguments discussed in this module could be checked in the section "programme" of this virtual document.
