The topics covered in the preparatory courses are essential prerequisites for the degree programme’s core courses in Mathematics, Physics and Earth Sciences.
The preparatory courses are strongly recommended for all first- and second-year students with learning debts, and are open to all students who, wishing to enrol on the Geological Sciences Bachelor's degree, intend to strengthen their knowledge of mathematics and/or Earth Sciences in order to tackle the university curriculum.
First-year students who have attended at least 50 per cent of the preparatory course lectures will be eligible in October to sit a special examination designed to help them make up for their academic debt.
