Instructions for completing the training program
The training program is the list of exams and other training activities that the student intends to take, and is essential for viewing and booking optional or free-choice courses on Infostud.
It must be submitted online, through the “Study Paths” interface on INFOSTUD, within specific date ranges.
Dates pending publication
Before completing the study path, consult the dedicated guide, which explains how to submit the study path in the best possible way. (Consult the guide: go to forms)
After logging in, click on the appropriate section and fill in the path online following the guided procedure.
Elective exams can be selected from all the University's degree courses (using the Advanced Search function), taking into account the following limitations and guidelines established by the University and/or the Teaching Area Council:

  • If both optional exams are chosen from the internal pathway, the plan is approved.
  • Of the two optional exams, only one may be in the humanities, except in justified cases (e.g., I am writing my thesis on the conservation and restoration of Mesopotamian clay tokens, so I am including History of the Ancient Near East and Sumerian I).
  • It is questionable and difficult to accept the choice of scientific courses taken from humanities programs (e.g., Applied Physics to Cultural Heritage or Materials Science in Art from Archaeological Sciences).
  • It is not acceptable to choose courses outside the Faculty that replicate courses offered within the Faculty.
  • The choice must be justified in a convincing and comprehensive manner (the justification “the subject is interesting and I would like to study it in depth” is not sufficient). Study plans without justification for elective exams will be rejected and no request will be sent to the student to justify their choice directly to the Teaching Committee.
  • Think carefully about your choices before submitting your program: you can only change your plan once per academic year*.
  • If you enter exams from other departments and faculties, make sure you have identified the correct code for the course and program offered in the current year, otherwise you will not be able to view the exam sessions correctly. Please also note that prerequisites may be required. In the event of problems with incorrect transcripts or missing exam sessions, the DBA academic office cannot intervene, and you will need to contact the academic offices of the degree programs that offer the course.
  • Always check the semester in which the course is offered on the degree program pages of the Study Catalog (for the academic year in question).
  • The 24-credit path is independent of the degree program: therefore, courses in area A (Pedagogy, Special Education, and Inclusive Education) and area B (Psychology) are not acceptable, those in area C (Anthropology) fall within the humanities as described in the previous points, and for those in area D (Teaching Methodologies and Technologies), consistency with the educational plan is evaluated.

*You can request cancellation of the training course only on pre-established dates, by submitting a formal request with justification to Prof. Siani at annamaria.siani@uniroma1.it, with a copy to the academic office at didattica.dba@uniroma1.it
* If the program is rejected, it will be possible to submit a new one within the same submission window.
Once you have completed the form, the system will indicate whether the training program is correct. If not, you can use the “ABC” function (top left) and the system will indicate any inconsistencies it has found.
When the course is correct, you can click on ‘save as draft’ or, if you are sure of your choices, you can send it for validation.
Please note! The completed course must be saved and sent on the platform.
After sending, you must wait for approval before you can register for the exams for the optional and/or elective courses indicated.
However, it takes 24/48 hours after approval for the IT platforms to align and allow you to view the exam sessions for the courses entered on Infostud.
