Course objectives

Environmental monitoring: to identify and to define the widening of the recharge areas for the springs. Environmental pollution: provenance of the pollutions. Defining of the environmental sample representative and of the best analytical methods for this purpose.

Introduction to physical-chemical properties of elements and isotopes; chemical composition of the Earth;the rock cycle; geo/bioavailable elements; ions in solution; soubility and redox reactions; cycle of H2O; isotope traceability; isotopic hydrogeochimistry ; carbon cycle; nitrogen cycle; solfur and phosphorous cycle; metal and metalloids; mercury.
