Ofa: methods of fulfilling additional training obligations

If you scored less than 15 out of 50 in the Italian section of the TOLC-SU test (including the TOLC@CASA version), you are required to fulfil Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) in Italian.

Please note that the English section of the TOLC-SU is not considered when determining whether OFA requirements apply.

To support students in meeting this requirement, the Faculty of Political Science, Sociology, and Communication offers specific remedial learning activities, which will be scheduled either synchronously or asynchronously.

In addition to attending and completing these support activities, students can fulfil the OFA requirement in one of the following two ways:

  1. Passing a remedial test or interview, organized and/or indicated by the Degree Programme;

    OR

  2. Passing one of the following first-year curricular exams (once the result is recorded in Infostud, the OFA requirement will automatically be considered fulfilled):

    • Foundations and Methods of Social Work (integrated exam);

    • Social Psychology;

    • Contemporary History;

    • Administrative Law of Social Services;

    • Sociology of Law and Deviance;

    • Social Statistics.

All practical details regarding registration for remedial courses, participation in OFA assessments, and other relevant information will be published in the "Frequentare" section of your degree program’s page, available in the course catalogue:

⚠️ Failure to fulfil the OFA requirement will prevent you from taking exams beyond the first year, starting from the 2026–2027 academic year.
