International experiences
In order to enhance the internationalization of students, a faculty member from the Degree Program in Social Work was appointed as RAM (Administrative Coordinator for Mobility) as early as November 2021. This position is specifically dedicated to supporting student mobility within the Social Work area.
Among the various actions undertaken, the RAM offers individual tutoring sessions to students for the planning and development of their study programs abroad, particularly within European universities. In collaboration with the Departmental Erasmus Office, a range of informational materials has been developed. Notably, a video illustrating the Erasmus+ opportunities and mobility grants was produced and widely disseminated to faculty members, integrated into course sessions across the program, and shared via the usual communication channels. The video is also available on the Department of Social and Economic Sciences (DiSSE) website at the following link: https://prezi.com/view/azJeP9yFGfR31S4oG1aY/.
Regarding inter-institutional agreements, the office has carried out a dual strategy during the year: on one hand, it has expanded the number of Erasmus+ agreements with partner universities; on the other, it is actively monitoring existing agreements to identify those that best match the academic and training needs of Social Work students.
Furthermore, following a resolution of the Department Council, it was decided to award 2 additional points—beyond those required for graduation—to students who have completed a period of Erasmus mobility during their academic program.
Lastly, beginning in the 2022–2023 academic year, the Social Work Degree Program (STESS) has joined the Buddy Program, aimed at students who wish to support and guide international peers during their stay at Sapienza.
