Degree programme choice orientation

Sapienza University’s Career Service supports students and graduates throughout the delicate transition from academic studies to professional life, offering a wide range of services, including:

  • Assistance and information about the services available;
  • Individual career counselling and guidance;
  • CV review and optimisation;
  • A comprehensive training catalogue focused on career guidance and employability development;
  • Establishment of partnership agreements with companies to develop placement and career orientation initiatives;
  • Reserved recruitment processes;
  • Organisation of recruitment and career guidance events;
  • Coordination of Career Days.

The job placement support is implemented through targeted activities organised by the Career Service, by Faculties and other university structures, or in collaboration with companies, public and private institutions, and professional associations.
Career orientation activities may include seminars, workshops, and thematic events focusing on job search strategies, soft skills, and career management skills, such as:

  • Writing effective CVs and cover letters;
  • Preparing video résumés;
  • Managing professional social media;
  • Participating in Employability Labs and similar initiatives.

To facilitate connections with employers, the Career Service organises:

  • Recruiting Days, Career Days, Testimonial Days;
  • Company presentations, business visits, assessment centres;
  • Business games, mentoring programmes (including Alumni and corporate mentorships).

These events are held either on campus or online and aim to match graduates with the most suitable professional opportunities.
JobTeaser Platform
Students and graduates have access to JobTeaser Sapienza, the university’s dedicated digital platform, where they can:

  • Create and customise their CV;
  • Apply for job offers aligned with their academic and professional profile;
  • Browse a database of registered companies and organisations;
  • Register for recruiting events, company presentations, and Career Days.

Every year, the Career Service organises the University-wide Career Day, open to students and graduates of all eleven Sapienza Faculties. In addition, there are Faculty-specific or area-specific Career Days, such as:

  • Career Day for Humanities and Social Sciences;
  • Career Day for Economics and Law;
  • Career Day for STEM fields.

The Department has also appointed a faculty member as Placement Coordinator, tasked with developing and managing placement agreements with companies, organisations, and institutions, in coordination with all teaching staff of the degree programme.
