Programme Structure
The study programme is structured over two academic years, corresponding to a total of 120 ECTS credits. It includes 12 compulsory examinations and a computer lab course, as well as elective activities chosen by the student (for a total of 9 ECTS).
Year 1
First Semester:

  • Games and Strategies for Sustainability
  • Statistical Methods and Models for Economics and Public Policy
  • Business, Management and Sustainability
  • English Language (proficiency assessment – pass/fail)

Second Semester:

  • Data Science and Multivariate Statistics
  • Institutional Economics and Fiscal Sustainability
  • Policies and Management for Sustainable Finance
  • Welfare Policies and European Labour Law

Year 2
First Semester:

  • Sustainable Growth and the Business Cycle
  • Policy Evaluation: Methods and Applications

Second Semester:

  • International Trade, Globalisation and Sustainability
  • One elective course from the following:
    • International Economic Policies and Sustainable Development
    • Statistical Methods and Models for Time Series and Panel Data

Preparatory Courses
To support students with a less robust background in mathematics and statistics, remedial courses in these areas are organised during the first semester of the first year. Students without an undergraduate degree in Economics (Class L-33) are strongly encouraged to attend these support courses. Final Dissertation
The Master's thesis must be written and defended within a disciplinary scientific area covered by at least one of the exams taken during the programme. The thesis is assigned by a faculty member, who defines the topic and title in agreement with the student.
