EXAM SESSIONS FOR THE 2025/26 ACADEMIC YEAR
Exams will be held IN PERSON and will be ORAL.
A timetable setting out the exam times for individual candidates will be published a few days before the exam session.
Anyone who has registered but no longer intends to attend the exam is strongly urged to notify it before the timetable is published, so as not to cause any inconvenience to their fellow students.

SPECIAL EXAMINATION SESSION reserved for students who have exceeded the standard duration of their course, those repeating a year (i.e. those who have completed all years of attendance), and part-time students; those who have completed all years of study; working students; students with disabilities, those diagnosed with specific learning difficulties, and those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) if falling within the scope of certified Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) as per the law, subject to registration with the Disability and SLD Service; family carers and young carers (subject to presentation to the lecturer of appropriate documentation certifying carer status); student mothers and student fathers with children under the age of three, those with athlete status, those enrolled in two degree programmes simultaneously, as well as pregnant students. This is extended to final-year students in the second graduation session of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Curriculum
Francesco Guizzi è Professore Associato di Storia greca (GSD: 10/STAN-01 - STORIA GRECA E ROMANA. SSD: STAN-01/A - Storia greca. Settore ERC: SH6_8: Ancient history, medieval history) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze dell'Antichità (Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia) dell'Università degli Studi di Roma 'La Sapienza' dal 30 dicembre 2010. Ha afferito al Dipartimento di Scienze Storiche Archeologiche Antropologiche dell'Antichità (poi di Scienze dell'Antichità) come Ricercatore Universitario dal 1. febbraio 1994. Ha conseguito l'abilitazione alla 1. fascia della docenza (ASN) il 3/8/2018.
Insegna Storia greca in Corsi di Laurea e Laurea Magistrale. Dal 2017/18 è anche docente di Greek History per il corso telematico della Laurea Magistrale in Classical Archaeology (Unitelma - Sapienza). È membro del collegio dei docenti del Dottorato in Filologia e Storia del Mondo Antico. Insegna Epigrafia e Antichità Greche presso la Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Archeologici del Dipartimento di Scienze dell'Antichità.
È stato Member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton, NJ - USA) - School of Historical Studies nel Second term (january, 12th - april, 14th 2017).
È responsabile dell'Unità di Ricerca epigrafica dell'Università di Roma 'La Sapienza' presso la Missione Archeologica Italiana a Hierapolis di Frigia (Pamukkale - Turchia). Partecipa come referente del team epigrafico agli scavi archeologici turchi di Laodicea presso il Lico condotti dal Prof. Celal Şimşek della Pamukkale Üniversitesi (Denizli) e quello di Tripolis al Meandro (Yenicekent) diretto dal Prof. Dr. Bahadır Duman (della stessa Università).
Ha collaborato al Copenhagen Associations Project ed è parte del progetto internazionale Los dioses de Anatolia y sus nombres (continuidad, importación, interacción): una aproximación filológica y lingüística (GOAP), diretto da I. Adiego (Universitat de Barcelona), nell'unità di ricerca: Los dioses de Anatolia y sus nombres en textos griegos de época helenística y romana (dir. M.P. de Hoz García y Bellído, Universidad Complutense, Madrid). Ha coordinato Unità di Ricerca in progetti MIUR e numerosi progetti della Sapienza.
Ha scritto più di settanta articoli, quattro monografie e ha curato due volumi.
