Curriculum
Lucia D’Ambrosi (PhD) è professoressa associata in Sociologia dei processi culturali e comunicativi presso il Dipartimento di Comunicazione e Ricerca Sociale della Sapienza Università di Roma, dove insegna Comunicazione pubblica e istituzionale e Diversity management e comunicazione inclusiva.
La sua attività di ricerca si concentra sui processi comunicativi tra istituzioni, cittadini e media, con particolare attenzione alla partecipazione civica, alla cittadinanza digitale, alla disinformazione, all’inclusione e alle prospettive di genere nella comunicazione istituzionale. Ha coordinato e partecipato a numerosi progetti di ricerca nazionali e internazionali, dedicati alla sfera pubblica europea, all’attivismo giovanile, all’impatto dei media digitali e dell’intelligenza artificiale, e alla comunicazione inclusiva.
Accanto all’attività scientifica e didattica, ricopre incarichi accademici e istituzionali. È componente della Commissione d’Ateneo per le iniziative in favore di studentesse e studenti con disabilità e DSA e referente per il Dipartimento di Comunicazione e Ricerca Sociale. Collabora inoltre alle attività del Focus Group di Ateneo a supporto della valutazione d’impatto delle iniziative di Valorizzazione delle conoscenze, con riferimento alla Terza Missione e all’Impatto Sociale.
Dal 2022 è membro dell’unità di ricerca Ge.M.Ma. – Gender and Media Matters, dedicata allo studio delle relazioni tra genere e media. È inoltre membro del Comitato scientifico dell’Associazione Italiana per la Comunicazione Pubblica e Istituzionale e collabora alle attività del Club di Venezia e del Dipartimento per gli Affari Europei.
La sua produzione scientifica comprende monografie, curatele e articoli pubblicati in riviste nazionali e internazionali, con un profilo orientato all’analisi dell’evoluzione della comunicazione pubblica in Italia e in Europa. Tra le sue pubblicazioni più recenti: La comunicazione pubblica europea, con M. Parito, in corso di pubblicazione presso Mondadori.

Lucia D’Ambrosi (PhD) is Associate Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes at the Department of Communication and Social Research, Sapienza University of Rome, where she teaches Public and Institutional Communication, Diversity Management and Inclusive Communication.
Her research focuses on communication processes between institutions, citizens and the media, with particular attention to civic participation, digital citizenship, disinformation, inclusion, and gender perspectives in institutional communication. She has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international research projects addressing the European public sphere, youth activism, the impact of digital media and artificial intelligence, and inclusive communication.
Alongside her research and teaching activities, she holds academic and institutional roles. She is a member of the Sapienza University Committee for initiatives supporting students with disabilities and specific learning disorders, and serves as Departmental Contact Person for the Department of Communication and Social Research. She also contributes to the University Focus Group supporting the impact assessment of Knowledge Valorisation initiatives, with specific reference to Third Mission and Social Impact.
Since 2022, she has been a member of the Ge.M.Ma. – Gender and Media Matters research unit, which investigates the relationship between gender and media. She is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Association for Public and Institutional Communication and collaborates in the activities of the Club of Venice and the Department for European Affairs.
Her scientific production includes monographs, edited volumes and articles published in national and international journals, with a profile focused on the analysis of the evolution of public communication in Italy and Europe. Her most recent publications include La comunicazione pubblica europea, co-authored with M. Parito, forthcoming with Mondadori.
