The Laboratorio di Progettazione III (Design Studio 3 course) is the final step of the three-year-degree program. The theme of public buildings fosters a new awareness of the peculiarities of scalar approach at architecture, where the relationships between interior and exterior and building and environment is charged with meanings that can be expressed both as a complement to the consolidated city and as an integration of the non-residential functions of the context. The chosen theme for the workshop is the design of a middle school with open sports spaces and green areas, in a part of Rome's suburbs bordering nature and the city.
