CORPORATE FINANCE

FA, Textbook, bibliography and study materials
Textbook
Palomba G., Gennaro A. (2022), Finanza Aziendale. Analisi, decisioni e valutazioni finanziarie, McGraw-Hill (link)

FA, Examination and Assessment Methods
The exam consists of a written test and an oral exam.
The written test is aimed at assessing the student’s practical skills (ability to apply knowledge).
To this end, on the day before the written exam each candidate must submit the individual assignment required by the course and assigned by the Lecturer, which certifies the skills developed during the course.
The oral exam requires passing the written test and aims to assess the breadth and depth of the student’s preparation.

FA, Exam Registration
To verify administrative compliance and to allow the organization of the written exam (room booking, preparation of attendance sheets, preparation of exam materials), all students must register for the exam session through the Infostud system.

FA, Written and Oral Exam Procedures

Written Test
All students must register for the exam session through the Infostud system in order to avoid administrative impediments and to allow the organization of the written test.
Students registered for the session will subsequently receive an email from the Lecturer containing mainly:

  • time and place of convocation
  • notices for candidates and instructions to be followed

Oral Exam
Candidates are generally called for the oral exam after the written tests have been graded.
Depending on the number of students who sat the written test, both those who passed and those who failed may be summoned simultaneously to review the mistakes made. If organizational needs require it, convocations may be scheduled on different days.

Mid-Term Test (Access requirements, format, dates, topics and skills required, impact on final grade)
Attending students will take a mid-term assessment during class hours, through which they will be able to self-evaluate their level of learning and the skills developed up to that point.
The mid-term test follows the same procedures as the written exam, allowing students to become familiar with the examination format.
The test does not constitute an exemption and is not mandatory. However, it will be considered as an element of evaluation of the student’s commitment, which the Lecturer will take into account.
