Prerequisites
Good knowledge of the English language (oral and written) and grammar. No previous knowledge of Latin is necessary.
Study modes
During lessons, we will address the fundamentals of Latin grammar. Students will be guided through exercises of translation into English of unabridged Latin texts from Caesar.
Frequency modes
Lessons will be in presence. Given the nature of the course, attendance is key to attaining its learning objectives. Students who cannot attend are asked to contact the instructors.
Exam modes
The evaluation will consist in a written test and in an oral exam. During the written test, students will be asked to translate a Latin text from Caesar and to analyze it from a linguistic point of view (phonology, prosody, morphology, syntax, vocabulary).
