Research interests
Calculus of Variations, Geometric Measure Theory, Applied Mathematics, Materials Science.
My research focuses on variational models in elasticity, in particular on fracture mechanics, discrete dislocations in crystals, topological singularities and phase transitions. I also deal with variational models in image segmentation and geometric flows.

Seminars
More than 40 seminars on invitations in international research institutes and during conferences and schools.
Scientific production
I am author of more than 30 publications.
