Narrative sketch

Arianna Di Napoli is Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Sapienza University of Rome. She is a pathologist and molecular biologist trained at the Universities of Rome “Sapienza” (Italy) and at the Harvard Medical School of Boston (USA). Her research is focused on the molecular alterations of lymphomas and solid neoplasms involved in tumor initiation and progression. She is currently investigating the environmental and endogenous factors that contribute to the development of a newly recognized lymphoma entity associated with the presence of breast implants (i.e. breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma; BI-ALCL) authoring 12 related scientific articles. During her research activity, Arianna Di Napoli has gained documented experience in the field of haematopathology and neoplastic pathology of the thyroid, kidney and lung. She has also acquired practical and theoretical knowledge of advanced molecular biology techniques such as next generation sequencing, SNP array and gene expression profiling.
She is author of 66 publications, all published in International Journals. She has attended as invited speaker at several international conferences.
