Born in Rome in November 11th 1960.
MSc in Mathematics (magna cum laude) in October 15th 1986 at "La Sapienza" University, Rome.
From December 30th 2010 associate professor of Mathematical Analysis at the Dept. Scienze di Base e Applicate per l’Ingegneria (SBAI) Engineering Faculty, "La Sapienza" University, Rome.
Actual affiliation: Dept. of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMA), “La Sapienza” University, Rome.
Author of more than 120 publications (scientific papers; scientific book chapters; preprints; proceedings; technical reports; abstracts and extended abstract; popular scientific papers; course books). 70 of these publications are indexed in Scopus and/or WoS and/or MathSciNet and/or zentralBlatt
Global h-index: 17. Number of citations on Scopus: 854.
Supervisor and assistant supervisor of several MSc theses at the Engineering Faculty and supervisor of PhD theses at the Doctorate of “Mathematical Models and Methods for Technology and Society”, at Dept. SBAI.
Scientific interests: elasticity theory; almost-periodic functions; biomathematics (models of glucose-insulin kinetics; models of intracellular biochemical signal transduction and metabolism; models of stem cells action; functional mathematical indexes for food quality).
