Curriculum

Giovanni Di Bartolomeo is Associate Professor of Economic Policy in the Department of Economics and Law at the Sapienza University of Rome, he is also member of the Board of the PhD Program in Economics (Sapienza University of Rome) and the Director of the postgraduate master program in Geopolitics Economic Globalization and International Institutions (University of Teramo).

He joined the Department in 2012 from the University of Teramo, where he was Associate Professor from 2005 until 2012 and served as Member of the Board of the Communication Department (2009-12) and as Director of the postgraduate course in Management and Business Communication (2009-12). Before Teramo, he was employed at the Sapienza University of Rome as Assistant Professor of Economic Policy (ricercatore) from 2002 to 2005; Assistant Professor of Econometrics at the University of Antwerp UFSIA-RUCA from 2000 to 2002; Research Assistant at the Labor Market Department of the Italian National Statistical Institute (ISTAT) from 1999 to 2000.

He served as Director of the CUIA International network on renewable energies from 2007 to 2010. In 2007/08 he was Marie Curie Fellow (experienced researcher) in the Department of Economics at the University of Crete. Between 2003 and 2007 he was contract professor of International Economics and European Economic Integration at the Richmond Centre of Studies. He was also visiting professor at the University of Antwerp, CEFOS, University of Goteborg, CORE (Louvain).

Di Bartolomeo received his B.A. from Sapienza University of Rome in 1997 and also spent time as a Master student at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), where he obtained his MSc in Economics in 1998. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at the Sapienza University of Rome in 2002.
