RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Her recent research fields regard:
• Electrochemical generation of bases and their applications in organic synthesis; in particular the use of cyanomethyl anion as a perfect EGB (electrogenerated base) in organic chemistry.
• Use of ionic liquids in the electrochemical synthesis of substance for biological and pharmaceutical scopes; in particular, use of electrogenerated N-heterocyclic carbenes as bases, nucleophiles or reactives.
• Comparison between the behaviour of classical organic solvents and ionic liquids in organic electrochemistry.
In particular, the studied topics are:
- Electrogenerated cyanometyl anion as a base in organic synthesis.
- Green Chemistry: electrolyses in the absence of solvent and/or supporting electrolyte.
- Organic electrosynthesis in ionic liquids.
