Responsabile scientifico dell'accordo esecutivo tra l'Université, Alger 1 Benyoucef Benkhedda e il DiAP (Dipartimento di Architettura e Design).

PRINCIPALI CAMPI DI RICERCA
Dal 2004 insegna Progettazione Architettonica prima al terzo e poi al quarto anno del corso di laurea quinquennale della CU.
Dal 2004 ad oggi la sua attività di ricerca si è concentrata su diversi temi:
- la Progettazione Urbana come strumento di attuazione e metodologia di trasformazione urbana, approfondendo alcune città europee attraverso studi e confronti con le amministrazioni;
- il Paesaggio Urbano, occupandosi in particolare degli spazi pubblici aperti dal punto di vista delle politiche urbane e del rapporto tra queste e la qualità urbana, nonché della sua tassonomia e della progettazione delle sue diverse tipologie.
- Emergenza abitativa e habitat tradizionale, sviluppando due linee di ricerca derivanti dalla sua lunga esperienza nei paesi africani e mediorientali: intervento in contesti con tradizioni locali consolidate, emergenza abitativa e edilizia popolare e a basso costo.
Inoltre, dal 2013 ha continuato e sviluppato una linea di ricerca sull'architettura e le città del Medio Oriente e del Maghreb su cui lavorava sin dal suo dottorato di ricerca.
Su questi temi ha prodotto numerose pubblicazioni e ha partecipato come relatore e coordinatore a workshop e seminari internazionali, conferenze nazionali e internazionali.

PRINCIPALI CAMPI DI ESPERIENZA
In questi anni ha svolto attività professionale e di ricerca nel campo dell'urbanistica e dell'architettura, concentrandosi principalmente sui temi della tutela del paesaggio/sviluppo turistico e della riqualificazione urbana.
Nel campo della riqualificazione urbana, dal 2012 al 2013 ha lavorato alla proposta di piano per l'utilizzo e l'accessibilità del complesso dei Fori Imperiali a Roma. Nel 2011 ha vinto il secondo premio al concorso internazionale per il progetto di riqualificazione urbana del quartiere di piazza Lalla Yedouna nella medina di Fez (Marocco). Tra il 2004 e il 2006 ha coordinato l'asse “Patrimonio culturale” del progetto pilota MEDINA (MEDiterranean by INternet Access), parte delle iniziative EUMEDIS della Comunità Europea. In precedenza ha fatto parte del team di progettazione del piano di recupero di Gabès e Neftà in Tunisia; ha partecipato al piano di recupero della zona “O” a Lucrezia Romana; ha realizzato il piano di riabilitazione di tre edifici comunali a Roma; ha realizzato un progetto urbano per la trasformazione e lo sviluppo delle aree edificabili del porto mediceo di Livorno; ha collaborato al Piano Regolatore di Mugnano, Napoli, per la parte relativa all'analisi delle tipologie urbane del centro storico.
Nel campo della tutela del paesaggio e dello sviluppo turistico ha lavorato all'aggiornamento del Piano di Gestione dei siti UNESCO di Cerveteri e Tarquinia in Italia; tra il 2001 e il 2003 ha svolto, in qualità di esperta dell'UE, uno studio su: “formulazione delle linee direttive, delle tipologie e degli elementi architettonici per le strutture turistiche nel Parco Transnazionale W e nelle aree contigue in Benin, Burkina Faso e Niger” e uno studio su: “formulazione delle caratteristiche dell'infrastruttura del Parco Nazionale di Zakouma” in Ciad nell'ambito dei programmi finanziati dal FED dell'Unione Europea. Si è inoltre occupata di uno studio per lo sviluppo turistico della città di Carrara, del progetto generale ed esecutivo dell'ecomuseo del Parco dell'Alto Molise, del progetto per l'area naturale di Ortazzo-Ortazzino a Ravenna, del punto informativo dell'Ente Parco del Pollino in Italia, della progettazione dell'ecomuseo della Casamance in Senegal e di un giardino lungo l'Oued a Gabès in Tunisia.
Nel campo della progettazione architettonica, tra i lavori figurano: la consulenza per la progettazione definitiva ed esecutiva di alcuni interventi nell'ampliamento dell'Aeroporto Internazionale Leonardo da Vinci di Fiumicino; il progetto preliminare per un'area residenziale a Guidonia-Roma; il progetto per il sistema degli spazi pubblici della nuova centralità metropolitana EUR Castellaccio a Roma; il piano per un'area residenziale a Ponzano Romano; il progetto preliminare della nuova centralità urbana della Romanina a Roma e il progetto per il nuovo Campus Universitario a Pietralata a Roma.
L'esperienza professionale non riguarda solo la progettazione a tutti i livelli, ma anche il coordinamento dei team e i rapporti con le amministrazioni. Dal 2004 svolge attività universitaria, sviluppando ricerche teoriche, pubblicando progetti e saggi, partecipando a seminari e conferenze.

MAIN FIELDS OF RESEARCH
Since 2004, he has been teaching the course of Architectural Design first in the 3rd and then in the 4th year at the CU five-year degree program.
From 2004 to the present, his research activity has focused on several topics:
- the Urban Design as an implementation tool and methodology of urban transformation, investigating in depth some European cities through studies and comparison with administrations;
- the Urban Landscape dealing in particular with public open space from the perspective of urban policies and the relationship between these and urban quality, as well as its taxonomy and the design of its different typologies.
- Housing emergency and traditional habitat by developing two lines of research stemming from his long experience in African and Middle Eastern countries: intervention in contexts with established local traditions, housing emergency and low and very low-cost housing.
In addition, since 2013 he has continued and developed a line of research on Middle Eastern and Maghreb architecture and cities on which he had been working since his Ph.D.
On these topics he has produced many publications and participated as a speaker and coordinator in international workshops and seminars, national and international conferences.

MAIN FIELDS OF EXPERIENCE
In these years she has done professional activity and research in the urban planning and architectural field with main focus on the themes of landscape protection/tourism development and urban renovation.
On the domein of urban renovation from 2012 to 2013 she work at the proposal Plan for the use and accessibility of the complex of the Imperial Forums in Rome. In 2011 she won the second prize in the international competition for the project for the urban renovaton of the neiborhood of square Lalla Yedouna in the medina of Fez (Morocco). Between 2004 and 2006 she coordinated the axis “Cultural Heritage” of the pilot Project MEDINA (MEDiterranean by INternet Access) part of the EUMEDIS initiatives of the European Community. Beforehand she was part of the designing team for the recovery plan of Gabès and Neftà in Tunisia; she take part to the recovery plan of the “O” zone in Lucrezia Romana; she made the rehabilitation plan of three municipal buildings in Rome; she did an urban project for the transformation and development of the building sites areas of the medicean Port of Livorno; she collaborated in the City Plan of Mugnano, Naples, for the part regarding the analysis of the urban typologies of the historical centre.
In the field of landscape protection and tourism development recently she work to the
Update of the Management Plan of UNESCO sites of Cerveteri and Tarquinia in Italy; between 2001 and 2003 she did as EU expert a study on: “formulation of the directive lines, typologies and architectural elements for the touristic facilities in the Transnational Park W and the contiguous areas in Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger” and a study on: “formulation of the characteristics of the infrastructure of the National Park of Zakouma” in Ciad in the framework of programmes funded by the FED of the European Union. She also took care of a study for the touristic development of the city of Carrara, the general and the executive project of the eco museum of the Park of the Alto Molise, the project for the natural area of Ortazzo-Ortazzino in Ravenna, the information point of the Ente Parco of the Pollino in Italy; the design of the eco museum of the Casamance in Senegal and for a garden along the Oued in Gabès in Tunisia.
In the architectural design field among the recent works as there are: the consultancy for the definitive and executive design of some interventions in the extension of the International Airport Leonardo da Vinci in Fiumicino; the preliminary project for a residential area in Guidonia-Rome; the project for the public spaces system of the new metropolitan centrality EUR Castellaccio in Rome; the plan for a residential area in Ponzano Romano; the preliminary project of the new urban centrality of the Romanina in Roma and to the project for the new University Campus in Pietralata in Rome.
His professional experience covers not only design at all levels, but also team coordination and relations with public administrations. Since 2004, he has been involved in university activities, developing theoretical research, publishing projects and essays, and participating in seminars and conferences.
