LABORATORY TEAM LEADER: SUPERVISION OF GRADUATE STUDENTS AND POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS
Since 2012 Team leader of Psychobiology Lab (Dep Psychology, Sapienza Univ, Rome Italy).
My main interest has always been the psychobiology of mental diseases with a special focus on the role of genetic, environmental and epigenetic factors interaction in their development, as documented by peer-reviewed publications. My training as a cognitive-behavioral therapist helped me to develop animal models capable of connecting neurobiological phenotypes with psycho-pathogenic pathways.
I have expertise, leadership, training, and motivation necessary to successfully carry out the proposed research.
I have a broad background in preclinical research specific expertise in animal models of psychopathologies. As documented by peer-reviewed publications, my research includes neurochemical, behavioral and molecular changes associated with psychopathologies induced by stress exposure on preclinical models, and I master many in vivo methods for in-vivo experimentation in mice.
