PROFILO
Professore Associato (con Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale a Professore Ordinario) in Costruzioni e Strutture Aerospaziali (ING/IND 04), presso la Sapienza Università di Roma, con un gruppo di ricerca che si occupa di ingegneria e produzione di materiali (nano) compositi multifunzionali ad alte prestazioni per applicazioni aerospaziali. Precedente esperienza decennale in RD&I di materiali compositi e relativi processi produttivi nel contesto industriale, tra cui industrie aerospaziali e della Difesa e centri di ricerca.

- Progettazione e produzione di strutture aerospaziali
- Sviluppo di nanocompositi e materiali compositi avanzati per strutture esposte all ambiente spaziale, tra cui le schermature da radiazioni
- Studio e simulazione di processi out-of-autoclave e liquid composite molding
- Strutture dispiegabili
- Sviluppo di processi di manufacturing in situ in ambiente planetario (Luna e Marte) basati su risorse locali per limitare il trasporto da Terra e il relativo impiego di risorse non rinnovabili
