Ofa: methods of fulfilling additional training obligations
You must fulfill the Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) in Mathematics if, in the TOLC-LP test (including TOLC@CASA), you obtained a score lower than 2 in the "MATEMATICA" questions.
To facilitate the remediation of the OFA, the Degree Program provides teaching materials to fill previous gaps.
To fulfill the OFA, you must:
• successfully pass this first-year curricular exam: ANALISI MATEMATICA (passing the curricular exam, recorded on Infostud, automatically fulfills the Additional Learning Requirements);
or
• pass a specifically designed test.
The procedures for participating in remedial courses, accessing learning tools to fill any previous gaps, taking the OFA test, and all other information regarding OFA will be published in the Attendance section of the program page, in the course catalog at https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/it/course/33428/attendance
and on the Faculty of Architecture website under Recupero OFA
Failure to complete the OFA will result in the inability to take exams for years subsequent to the first, starting in the 2026-2027 academic year.
The OFA remediation test will take place on January 16, June 8, and September 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

Other training activities that award credits
The student must earn 2 CFU by choosing one of the following:
1st year; 2nd semester, 2 CFU
during the 3 years
(conferences, seminars, and other activities recognized by
the Degree Program)
To validate the 2 CFU, students must register on INFOSTUD with the reference professor, after submitting the documentation certifying the acquisition of the credits.

Apprenticeship
An internship is offered at construction companies and industrial manufacturers in the sector; technical departments of public administrations; and private companies operating in the field of property and real estate management, as well as design studios and engineering firms.
The internship is worth 4 ECTS credits. Internships must be activated through the Sapienza Internship Management System via the TSP platform.

WORKSHOPS – OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The internship may be replaced by workshops and/or other educational activities, including those proposed by the student, provided that they are approved in advance and subsequently validated and formally recorded by the Chair of the Degree Programme, also upon proposal by individual academic staff members affiliated with the Programme.
Such activities may also form part of individual or collective pathways and initiatives agreed upon within the Degree Programme, including those related to University research centres, even at an interdepartmental level, or carried out in collaboration with other scientific and academic institutions recognised at national and/or international level.

The Course Tutor is a support figure designed to assist students throughout their university studies. The tutor provides guidance in organizing study activities, navigating the degree program, understanding the curriculum, and addressing any difficulties related to teaching or to the overall university experience. Path of excellence
The Excellence Pathway is an initiative designed to enhance the academic development of the most outstanding and motivated students, offering opportunities for in-depth study, cultural enrichment, and engagement with the methodology of scientific research.

The library provides access to an extensive collection of books, specialized journals such as Casabella and Detail, and a wide range of architecture periodicals. Books and journals may be freely consulted in the reading room. Through registration on the NILDE platform, users may request scans of journal articles or short book chapters without the need to visit the library in person. Library users may borrow up to two books for a period of 15 days; loan renewals may be requested by email.

The Library is entirely dedicated to the history and restoration of architecture, from antiquity to the twentieth century. The following research areas are extensively documented: history of architecture, including general historical works, monographs, and biographies of architects; history, theory, and techniques of architectural conservation; architectural theory and treatises; and the history of architectural criticism and theory.
STUDY SPACE
The Library provides all Sapienza students with two rooms dedicated to group study (for groups of 3 to 12 people).

How to book
Bookings are made through your personal area in the library catalogue (section “Bookings” → “Make a new booking” in the right-hand menu), up to 7 days in advance.
Access rules
Only one group member, acting as the group representative, submits the booking and enters the names of the other participants in the NOTE field (at the bottom of the booking form).
All other participants must register at the library front desk before entering the room.

New study rooms are available at the Via Fortuny site, within a building that forms part of the former tram depot on Via Flaminia. This space represents a first step toward consolidating Sapienza University’s presence—particularly that of the Faculty of Architecture—within the Flaminio university hub, a strategic area for the development of teaching, cultural, and research activities.
In addition, nine study workstations are available at the library of the National Council for Economics and Labour (CNEL), located at Viale Davide Lubin 2, subject to prior reservation via email at segreteria.generale@cnel.it
