The final exam is the discussion of a Masters Degree dissertation, i.e. a document in English
expounding the results of an original study conducted on a problem of applicative, experimental or
research nature.
Work on the dissertation is carried out under the guidance of a supervisor (who can be a lecturer in the
Masters Degree, or in other Italian or foreign University courses, or in an Italian or foreign research
institute) and is usually done during the second year of the degree programme, generally taking up half
of its total time.
The final exam can concern a project, research, methodological or internship activity performed in an
industry, public or research institution or in the University laboratories. The work carried out will show
that students master Cybersecurity methodologies and/or their application in a specific area, at a
competence level meeting the needs required by processes of technological innovations. The final
exam will be arranged so as to provide students with important credentials for the graduates’ access to
the job market.

The master's degree session JULY 2024
The master's degree session will take place from Monday 22 to Friday 26 July 2024.
Step following the degree application and the related approval of the teacher
Upload the thesis on Infostud, without having to have the title page signed, no later than 8 July at 10.00.
the supervisor approves the thesis presented directly in the system, by 10 July at 10.00.
Send a thesis copy identical to the one uploaded
no later than July 8th at 10:00 am to: segr.didattica@di.uniroma1.it

DEGREE THESIS REQUEST
The student plans a thesis at least six months in advance. He/she must identify the topic and the Supervisor.

He/she must fill in the Master's degree thesis assignment request in full and upload the documents in the online template provided

An internal supervisor must sign the thesis assignment form.
The student must be enrolled in the second year and have 60 credits (cfu on Infostud) before submitting the thesis request.
In case of an external thesis, i.e. conducted under the guidance of a lecturer not belonging to the faculty and/or at an institution outside Sapienza, students must access the SOUL system www.jobsoul.it.
The Training programme (from the SOUL system) is approved, and the student must upload it together with the thesis assignment request, signed by the internal supervisor.

Check each degree programme's dates in the Calendar of Final Examination sessions.
The supervisor must approve the graduation application. The student admitted has fulfilled the requirements. He/she must now only present and present the thesis in the graduation session.
In the proximity of the graduation session - after the publication of the graduation session calendar, which is communicated by the Didactic Office to the student by email
