Radiology equipment: the cathode ray tube, traditional X-ray, CT and MRI
Contrast media and side effects.
Nuclear medicine equipment: main differences between nuclear medicine and radiology, collimators, linear scanners, gamma cameras and PET.
Hybrid imaging.
Radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes: concept of radiopharmaceutical.
Notions of radiation protection.
Prerequisites
In order to properly understand the contents of the teaching and achieve the expected learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities the student must possess the basic knowledge acquired and matured during the attendance of secondary school with particular attention to physics and science.

70% of lessons
Exam mode
The assessment consists of a written exam with multiple choice questions related to the course program.
For those who do not pass the written exam or request to improve the grade obtained in the written exam, an oral exam is scheduled.
Lesson mode
The lessons will be held in person.
To complement the frontal lessons, visits to the various departments will be organized.
