Course program
The program of Infectious Diseases teaching is the following: - general concepts related to infectious diseases - HIV infection: epidemiology, clinical aspects, diagnosis and treatment, prevention - Viral hepatitis (HAV, HBV, HCV, HDV, HEV): epidemiology, clinical aspects, diagnosis and treatment, prevention - Central Nervous System infections - Tuberculosis: epidemiology, clinical aspects, diagnosis and treatment, prevention - Respiratory infections: bacterial pneumonia, COVID-19 - Urinary tract infections - Main exanthematic infections (measles, chickenpox, scarlet fever, rubella) - Herpes viruses infections: CMV, EBV, VZV, HSV1/2 - Elements related to Nosocomial infections - Elements related to vector borne diseases
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge related to biology, microbiology, physiopathology
Books
The didactic materials used for the course is provided to all students after each lesson, representing the source for the study course.
Teaching mode
The evaluation of the studetn at the exam will be based on his/her answers to specific question related to the content of the course related to infectious diseases

Mandatory attendence of the course
Exam mode
The student evaluation will be based on an oral exam that will take place together with the other teachings of the integrated course. The final vote will be the average of the votes obtained by the student for each subjects of the integrated course
Lesson mode
The lessons will be held in person, with the help of slides that include photographic and video material for educational purposes that will be useful for a critical commentary of the topics covered.
