Quality Assurance (QA)

Organization and responsibilities of the AQ of the CdS

he web pages describe the ten-year process developed by the University for the development of Sapienza Quality Assurance, the organizational model adopted, the QA stakeholders (Quality Team, Monitoring Committees, Joint Teacher-Student Committees, Degree Program Quality Committees), the active working groups, the main activities developed, and the documentation prepared for managing Quality Assurance processes and activities in Teaching, Research, and the Third Mission.

The web pages also serve as a communication platform and a means of providing reference data for review activities, drafting reports by the Joint Teacher-Student Committees and Monitoring Committees, and compiling the SUA-Teaching and SUA-Research Reports.
Each Degree Program and each Department may apply the Sapienza Quality Assurance Model defined on the Quality Team's Web Pages to the Degree Program/Department Quality Assurance, adapting it to their own organizational needs while respecting the models and procedures defined by ANVUR and the Quality Team.

The Degree Program/Department Web Pages, together with the SUA-Teaching and SUA-Research Sheets, are the communication tools for implementing the Quality Assurance System at the Degree Program/Department level.

The QA team monitors the implementation of the quality policy according to the guidelines of Sapienza's decision-making bodies. Quality is defined using appropriate efficiency and effectiveness indicators. To this end, the QA team: 1. Arranges teaching support interventions, monitoring a student assistance and counseling plan with the aim of helping them overcome any difficulties during their studies and in completing their thesis; 2. supervises tutoring activities for students who are behind schedule and enrolled part-time; 3. takes all necessary measures to encourage student participation in surveys to share their opinions on the courses they attend. The QA management group meets periodically to monitor the corrective actions proposed in the Review Reports.
Each program, through the QA management group established at each campus, will monitor the corrective actions indicated in the previous Review Report through regular meetings. It will evaluate the results of their implementation, highlighting the strengths identified, any critical issues, and any changes deemed necessary. It will verify the adequacy and effectiveness of the program management; and, where necessary, propose corrective actions to be introduced in the next Review Report. The meeting schedule will be established following completion of the University's requirements.

Consultation with representative organizations

Consultations with the social partners took place in Chieti, at the headquarters of the Permanent Conference of the Degree Classes of the Healthcare Professions (MIUR, Ministry of Health, representatives of the professions, the President of the Conference, the Presidents of the degree courses) on 14 and 15 May 2010.

Consultation with representative organizations (subsequent consultations)

With regard to the consultations for the L-SNT/01 degree programs, please note that the meeting "Training and the Labor Market: New Educational and Training Needs for the Class I Degree Programs in Healthcare Professions at Sapienza University of Rome 2024/2025" was held on April 23, 2024.
During the meeting, graduate satisfaction and employment data from the Nursing and Midwifery degree programs of the three Medical Faculties were presented, and the program offerings, consisting of 21 degree programs, 83 locations in Lazio and Molise, and first- and second-level Master's programs, were briefly outlined.
The decline in admissions to the entrance exams for Class I degree programs was also highlighted, and possible reasons were explored. AlmaLaurea survey data on 2021 graduates revealed a high level of employment and satisfaction. Finally, the need to develop greater local outreach was discussed, with the introduction of professionals capable of carrying out home-based activities, and the need to define new tutoring programs for students moving toward new rehabilitation and home-based settings. These activities are currently difficult to plan due to the high number of enrolled students.
