Prerequisites
Knowledge of anatomical-histological basis of human systems and apparatuses and microbiology is indispensable for the understanding of the course contents and the achievement of the learning objectives. Moreover, notions of molecular biology are also important while knowledge of pathological mechanisms of inflammatory conditions and tumors is useful.

The examination test will consist of an oral interview aimed at ascertaining the student's actual achievement of the training objectives
To pass the examination, a vote of not less than 18/30 must be achieved.
During the oral interview the student must prove that he has acquired:
-Sufficient knowledge of the main cellular and molecular components of the immune system and the biological mechanisms that regulate its protective function;
-A basic knowledge of the main immunological assays in the diagnostic laboratory;
-Sufficient knowledge of the therapeutic approaches aimed at modulating the immune response in different pathological conditions.
To achieve a score equal to 30/30 cum laude, the student must prove that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course.
For the purposes of the evaluation, the student's ability to reason and to explain the topics clearly and with the right terminology will be taken into account, demonstrating the ability to connect them in a logical and coherent way.
