Course program
Acquisition of the knowledge and skills to manage technical work in the workshop and fitting room. Knowledge of the range of prosthetics and orthoses used in modern orthopedic techniques. Ability to understand physician prescriptions and the ability to select the most appropriate materials for the construction of prosthetics and orthoses. Study and analysis of the orthopedic devices listed below: 1. Wraparound insoles for flatfoot valgus. 2. Third metatarsal relief insoles for diabetic foot. 3. Thigh-leg support for flexed knee with knee straightener. 4. Thigh-leg support for valgus or varus deformity. 5. Thigh-leg support for congenital clubfoot. 6. Thomas stapes for lower limb relief. 7. Transfemoral prosthesis. 8. Transtibial prosthesis. 9. Fabric brace and splints for spondylolysis. 10. Cheneau-type brace for right dorsal (d8/12) and left lumbar (l2/4) scoliosis. 11. AFO brace for equinus foot. 12. MZ-type brace. 13. Quarter-sphere insoles for flatfoot. 14. Milwaukee scoliosis brace. 15. Multifunctional chair for a geriatric patient with hemiplegia 16. Lightweight wheelchair for a patient with hemiplegia 17. Custom-made shoe and insole 18. Nancy Hilton brace 19. Neuroswing brace 20. Cervical spine orthosis 21. Brace for vertebral collapse 22. Prerequisites
Knowledge of human anatomy, human physiology and the main musculoskeletal pathologies.
