Course program
At the end of the course, after acquiring the appropriate terminology, students will be able to:
describe in written and oral form the theories and conceptual models of reference for nursing care that guide professional practice;
recognise the fundamental stages in the history of nursing care and highlight the role of scientific methodology and communication in care;
recognise, through assessment, the fundamental needs of healthy and sick individuals;
observe the person, from the moment they are taken into care until the moment of discharge, and be able to intervene with correct procedures for problem solving.

Frequency
Attendance is recorded by lecturers using a signature-based assessment method. In order to sit the examination, students must attend lectures for a number of hours equal to or greater than 67% of the hours assigned to each module.
Exam mode
The exam will be oral. The questions will cover all topics discussed in class.
Lesson mode
Lectures with multimedia support.
Discussion of clinical cases with reference to nursing theories and clinical nursing activities.
Practical exercises on simulated clinical settings.
